Whoa look who got a new bike! Yeah, it's Fat Chance Buck Shaver. This thing is a blast, I still mainly ride my all mountain bike, but taking this thing out every once in awhile is a nice change. I am trying to keep it in top condition though. It is sporting an Independent Fabrication Fork, King hubs and headset, XTR drivetrain, and Thompson Stem and Seatpost. What do you think?

Purple Crocodile Saddle

So I had some extra purple crocodile fabric leftover from a small scooter project and have had this saddle laying around for sometime which I have been wanting to try reupholstering, so I figured now was the perfect time to give it a shot. I had to buy some super short staples so they don't go the whole way through the saddle, and it was a little harder than I figured. I figure when it is done at the factory they must attach the fabric before the rails, because the rails made it quite difficult, however I think it turned out pretty well. I am not sure how durable the fabric is though.

So after having my new scooter for a few days now I can comment on how much of an awesome investment it was. Cassidy and I have been scooting everywhere on it, especially today cause I had the day off. We first took it to Watertown to get it registered, then we had breakfast back in JP with my friend Jessica who just moved here from Pittsburgh, then we ended up seeing Ratatouie, which wasn't my choice but was bearable. Last night we took it out to Cambridge and hung out at Hearthrob for a little while. It was alright except for waiting in line to get in and then getting champagne poured all over us. So then tonight I just ran into this photo online from when my Boys and I from work hit up Thunderdome in Cambridge last month.

So I have been thinking about getting a mean scooter for sometime, and today the time arrived. Feast your eyes on the RUCKUS!

I am pretty sure it is about the meanest 50cc Scooter ever made and don't try telling me how much cooler some lame ass Vespa is cause that shits more played out than Brittany Spears.

New Shades

So I found some old shades from the Bike shop that were actually brand new still in the package laying in a pile of filth in the lower chambers of the bike shop, So I bought them for a song and now they are all mine! One pair are Oakley Razors and the other pair are Cyclotechs.

Gertrude

My parents are moving from our long time home in Pennsylvania to retire in South Carolina, this meant I had to go home and get all of my stuff, which included my frog, Gertrude. Gertrude is an African Clawed Frog and I got her for Chrismas when I was 7. She came in the mail and was a tadpole at the time. She has survived many years and is quite amazing. She now lives in Boston and has had a recent tank make over.

Pink My Bike!

So I just finished step one of the "Pink My Bike" project for Cassidy. For Step One we replaced the stock WTB lock on grips with Pink Oury Grips, and polished them off with Straitline Pink Anodized Moto Style Bar end caps. It ended up looking pretty tight, but I think the pictures can speak for themselves. Notice how it matches our Kitchen!
